Surf's Up explores an early environmental world fragment from the Shadowship archive — a speculative ocean world where immense wave systems, distant structures and biomechanical technologies coexist beneath unfamiliar skies. A solitary rider moves through forces far larger than themselves, crossing a landscape where natural and engineered systems have become inseparable.
Created during early experiments with Maya, ZBrush and environmental design workflows, this piece explores recurring themes of scale, atmospheric worldbuilding and civilizations glimpsed at the edges of perception. Early visual foundations from this period would later evolve into larger environments, forgotten systems and the expanding Mindscape continuum.
A world fragment exploring movement, environmental storytelling and the feeling of encountering systems that existed long before arrival.
